Description

This exciting new project is a collection of photographs and field notes that began to take shape 11 years ago when Debra began photographing and observing our Alberta Wildies. This book brings together all of those memories and experiences including unprecedented documentation of two foal births – images never before seen. The foreword is written by Canadian actress Amber Marshall of ‘Heartland’.

WILD HORSES 216 pages contain over 220 fine art photographs and 15,000 words of text that brings you into the world of ‘wildies’. You will learn how these horses live through the seasons, what their attributes and behaviours are and be introduced to certain individuals that hold a special place in Debra’s heart. It explains about their history, colour variations and how they fit into the ecology of Alberta’s Eastern Slopes.
