2021 & 2022 Alberta Wild Horse Photography Workshops

2021 Dates for Debra Garside Wild Horse Photography Workshops:

October 11-13, 2021

2022 Dates:

May 2-4, June 13-15, July 11-13, Sept 19-21 and Oct 3-5.  Don’t see a date that works for you? Ask me about a custom workshop.

Workshops for 3-4 people cost $600 CAD plus GST, meals and accommodation (see below). Day 1 we meet at noon, go over camera settings, discuss composition and what to look for in a great horse shot. We will spend the rest of the day in the field finding wild horses.

Day 2 Depending on the weather and light we do a 3-hour morning shoot, and a 3 hour afternoon/evening shoot. We generally see between 50 and 100 horses per day, but the emphasis is on getting quality shots with nice backgrounds. Each participant will be given 45 minutes of one-to-one consultation with Debra. You can choose your topic – anything from a portfolio review to editing lessons in PS or LR to review of the days’ images – it’s up to you!

Day 3 Includes a 3 hour morning shoot and wrap up with questions.

I have cabins reserved for these dates at Sunset Guiding, but participants will be expected to confirm and pay for these bookings with Sunset once they have been accepted into the course. Each participant will be asked to fill out a Covid-19 questionnaire before being accepted into the course. Other restrictions (if any) will be made known closer to the workshop date as per provincial guidelines.

Payment: because of the small group size a 50% deposit will be required and subject to my very flexible refund policy. 100% of deposits will be returned if the course can not take place due to Covid-19.

Here is the link to my refund policy
